"Divergent" star Shailene Woodley, 22, does not have a home anymore - but there's a sweet reason why.

She told Jimmy Kimmel on " Jimmy Kimmel Live" Thursday that she gave her home to someone close to her.

"I gave it to my grandma," she said.

The actress opted to give her grandmother her house and live out of a suitcase herself.

"Everything I use or own is in a carry-on suitcase," Woodley said.

She was home for only 15 days last year and decided she didn't need a house or lots of belongings, she said. She kept enough stuff to fill one suitcase (plus cookware that her grandma uses), and stays on the move.

But, where does the young "The Fault in Our Stars" actress sleep?

"Literally, on friends' couches," Woodley said.
