ABC News’ “Good Morning America” Presents “Your Three Words” Broadcasting Live from 12 US Locations and Afghanistan

Unprecedented Live Event Featuring “One Republic” Performing Live in Studio

For the first time ever, on Thursday, September 8 th ABC News’ “Good Morning America” will air its popular “Your Three Words” franchise LIVE from a dozen locations throughout the United States and abroad all while One Republic plays their hit song “Good Life” LIVE from the show’s brand new Times Square Studio. From Boston’s Fenway Park to The Statue of Liberty, from a base in Afghanistan to Chicago’s Millennium Park, from to a fish market in Seattle to a beach in Connecticut, the unprecedented live event will feature “GMA” viewers at each location showcasing their own inspirational messages. No editing… no do-overs… it’s all live.

Confirmed locations include: the Statue of Liberty in New York, Chicago’s Millenium Park, Boston’s Fenway Park, Arizona State University in Phoenix, Houston’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, Disneyworld in Orlando, a fish market in Seattle, a hot air balloon in Nashville, a beachfront in West Haven, Connecticut, the roof of our Times Square Studios in New York City, and Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan.

“Your Three Words” is a weekly segment where the program takes video along with three words sent in by the audience online and the final product is set to music.  In the past, “GMA” has used the music from such diverse artists including Lady Gaga, Adele, Seal and Phish.  “GMA” has used this popular segment in a variety of ways including: to allow viewers to send messages of hope to the people in Japan following the devastating earthquake, send well wishes to Prince William and Catherine Middleton on their wedding, and a few viewers have even submitted videos to propose.

Viewers at home can submit their own three words via social media using hashtag #your3words. Those submissions can be viewed Thursday morning on our social ticker on the Times Square Jumbotron.

“Good Morning America” is a two-hour, live program anchored by Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. Josh Elliott is the news anchor, Lara Spencer is lifestyle anchor and Sam Champion is the weather anchor. The morning news program airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (7:00-9:00 a.m., EDT), on the ABC Television Network. James Goldston is the senior executive producer and  Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”
