Background: Indiana may seem like one of the least likely places to find an Olympic skier, but Nick Goepper has emerged as one of the brightest stars in his sport. In 2013, he was ranked first by the Association of Freeskiing Professionals and also took home the gold medal at the Winter X Games.

Goepper isn't just a savvy skier, but also a savvy personality. He was nicknamed "Heartthrob" at the 2013 Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colo., where he also took first place. He's also appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman," explaining what freestyle skiing is to the TV host.
