Turks Tease Erodgan For 'Helium' Voice
At a campaign rally in Van, Turkey today, Prime Minister Erdogan's voice turned unusually squeaky.
And it didn't go unnoticed.
Usually low and measured, the prime minister's voice sounded high-pitched, almost as if he gulped down some helium before the speech.

Despite the country's official ban on Twitter, announced earlier this week, it didn't take long for Turks to start tweeting, hashtagging #helyumlobisi.
The hashtag has been used 50,100 times since the speech, and still counting. Also today, the Turkish telecoms authority announced it had taken " administrative measure," blocking the video-sharing site YouTube.
Renesys, a U.S. company the tracks Internet traffic, reported that a partial blockage of YouTube was in place.

One thing is for certain, Erdogan is not making friends on the internet ahead of the highly anticipated municipal elections this weekend.
