Join ABC News to help moms and babies in the developing world; we need you!

ABC News and the UN Foundation, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, Baby Center and our world-class partners around the the globe, are launching a first of-its-kind campaign called the Million Moms Challenge.

The Million Moms Challenge is a call-to-action to engage a million Americans with millions of moms overseas to raise awareness about the challenges facing moms and babies in the developing world. (Did you know, for example, that every 90 seconds a woman dies from complications of pregnancy or childbirth?)

The Million Moms Challenge officially launches on Good Morning America, Monday, September 19th . If you are in New York, please join us at 7:30 a.m., Monday morning, outside ABC News’ Times Square Studios – on the southeast corner of 44th and Broadway for the launch.

We will ask you to Raise Your Hands to support the Million Moms Challenge. (You’ll be finished by 9.) Feel free to wear t-shirts with pictures of your children or your own mom. We will supply stickers, self-inking stamps and markers – all with washable ink.

And if you can’t make it to Times Square, be sure to watch GMA on Monday, 8 to 9 a.m. EST.

But first, snap your own picture at home with the Million Moms symbol and submit it here.  Check back with us for more ways to take action.

Remember, you don’t have to be a mom to help a mom. You just have to be one in a million.

And don’t forget to tell your friends about the Million Moms Challenge. Tweet me: I’m one in a million for healthy moms and babies around the world. Join the #MillionMomsChallenge with me! @amillionmoms; #amillionmoms
