What does the leader of the free world get for Christmas? Something to make him sweat it out a bit more, of course.

While spreading holiday cheer to local children on Monday, First Lady Michelle Obama revealed what she's getting her husband for Christmas.

"Don't put this in the papers because he's going to read it tomorrow," she joked during a Q and A session with kids at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

"I might get him some workout clothes," she said, laughing. "He said that's what he wanted. … I'm not forcing my husband to work out. … There's going to be some Let's Move joke about how I'm strapping him to the treadmill. No, he likes to work out."

As for daughters Malia and Sasha, Mrs. Obama said "they didn't ask for much this year." Malia wanted a cell phone, but her father already got it for her.

"I was like, 'You messed it up,'" the first lady said. "That should have been a Christmas gift."

"They're going to get stuff. They don't know what they're going to get. They're going to get small things. We don't do a lot of big gift-giving. They get to ask for three things. … So there's nothing that they really, really just want," she said.
