Watch 'Transformers' Director Michael Bay's Bizarre CES Exit

"Transformers" director Michael Bay, the featured speaker for Samsung's International CES presentation in Las Vegas today, walked off stage after less than two minutes when his teleprompter malfunctioned and words failed him.

Flustered, Bay tried to answer the moderator's questions, but just stumbled over his words, unable to "wing it," as he said, after he announced to the audience what the problem was.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Bay said as he walked off stage.

"OK, ladies and gentlemen, let's thank Michael Bay for joining us," the moderator said, trying to make a quick recovery form the incident.

Bay later posted on his website his embarrassment about the situation.

"Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES - I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP's intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down - then I walked off. I guess live shows aren't my thing."

Director Michael Bay leaves the stage during a Samsung news conference at the International Consumer Electronics Show, Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in Las Vegas.
