These furry pets have the world in their paws. From movie deals to brand sponsorships and book deals, these animals are taking center stage and represent a new world of pet stardom.

Unofficially known as the "world's cutest dog," Boo was appointed "spokesdog" for Virgin America airlines and named the Official Pet Liaison of Virgin America in July 2012. This Facebook executive's pooch boasts a Facebook page with 7 million likes and is the subject of two children's books. The first book is published in 10 languages. If you want a little Boo in your life, there is also a stuffed animal version of the pup.

Grumpy Cat's real name is "Tardar Sauce." She became an overnight Internet celebrity after her picture was posted on the news sharing site Reddit on Sept. 22, 2012. Known for her permanent grumpy expression, which, according to her owner, is a result of feline dwarfism, Grumpy Cat was named by MSNBC as the most influential cat in 2012. She was also the winner of Buzzfeed's "Meme of the Year Award" at the 2013 Webby Awards. The kitten sensation was slated to hit the silver screen for a Garfield-like film adaption.

Choupette is the pet and muse of Chanel's creative director and head of design, Karl Lagerfield. Her Twitter bio may, in fact, say it all: "I'm a famous beauty who refuses to eat on the floor & my maids pamper my every need. I am Choupette Lagerfeld and I am a spoiled pussy." While her personality is largely constructed by her Twitter account, with more than 30,000 followers, she also boasts a Vogue Deutsch cover with Linda Evangelista.

Darwin the monkey has been up to some serious monkey business. First made famous after wandering into the parking lot of an IKEA in Canada, passersby helped to propel Darwin to Internet celebrity-hood with countless memes and even an online video game.

Lil Bub packs an impressive resume for a pint-sized package. Known for her permanent kitten-like appearance, Lil Bub became an Internet sensation after her photos were featured on Reddit, a news-sharing site in 2011. Her starring film, " Lil Bub & Friendz" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year and won the Tribeca Online Festival Best Feature Film.
