After the scandal of a messy divorce, it appears that astronaut Buzz Aldrin is moving on with a woman 30 years his junior, and his ex-wife of 23 years is calling the woman a “predator.”

Aldrin is reportedly dating Michelle Sucillon, 51, a former senior event marketing manager for Borders. Sucillon oversaw West Coast events, including author appearances, where she met Aldrin, according to the New York Post.

The couple met at a 2009 Los Angeles signing for Aldrin’s book “Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home from the Moon.” Aldrin filed for divorce in June, but his ex-wife Lois Driggs Cannon told the Post that he has been seeing Sucillon for about a year..

“He’s not [officially] divorced yet. It’s kind of scandalous. We’ve had a great life, and I don’t blame Buzz,” Cannon said. “I blame the girl. She’s a predator, that’s my opinion.”

Aldrin’s divorce has resulted in a nasty legal and familial battle, involving Cannon and her daughter Lisa Cannon, who runs Starbuzz, the family company that manages and promotes Aldrin’s image, appearances and endorsements.

Multiple legal suits have been filed regarding the ownership and control of the company, and the battle is still making its way through the courts.

But Aldrin doesn’t appear to be letting his legal battles keep him from having fun.

“His goals are simply to conclude a dignified divorce, have whatever assets were accumulated during the marriage equally divided, make whatever appropriate provisions under that law that he’s supposed to make for his wife and then get on with his life,” Ronald Brot, Buzz Aldrin’s attorney, told ABCNews.com.

“He’s 81 and having kind of a midlife crisis in old age,” Cannon said. “I still think Buzz is the most wonderful man in the world, and I still love him.”

According to Sucillon’s LinkedIn page, she has a “Unique ability to manage relationships with high-profile talent including celebrities, agents, managers, publicists, authors, politicians, sports figures, writers and directors.”
