Jim Carrey Covers Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Bee Gees at NYC Club

He’s a creep, he’s a weirdo …

Just kidding. Jim Carrey is actually a man of many talents, as he proved Friday night at New York City rock club Arlene’s Grocery, where he belted out Radiohead’s “Creep,” Smashing Pumpkins’ “Bullet with Butterfly Wings” and Bee Gees’ “I Started a Joke.”

Carrey chatted with the crowd as he took the stage, pulling a few trademark silly faces and waving the mic like a conductor’s wand. Backed up by a top-notch band, he looked like he was having a ball.

Carrey’s covers come on the heels of him spray painting his West Village home and recording a pseduo-serious love note to actress Emma Stone, in which he professed his desire for them to have “chubby little freckled faced kids.” Is his rock star turn part of a mid-life crisis, publicity stunt or just another example of the categorically zany comedian/actor doing whatever he pleases? You decide.
