Ex-Pro Wrestler Stacy Keibler Snags Hollywood Heavyweight
Stacy Keibler is more than just George Clooney‘s latest lady friend.
Keibler, who appeared arm and arm with the Oscar-winning actor and director at the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend, is best known for her work in an arena a bit removed from Hollywood: Professional wrestling.
The 31-year-old, Maryland-born actress and model first shot to fame in 1999 as a member of the WCW’s Nitro Girls dance troop. She soon took on an alter-ego, Miss Hancock, and quickly won fans with her fiery fighting style and 42-inch-long legs. Keibler’s nearly decade long reign in the wrestling world earned her a slew of nicknames, including Super Stacy, The Legs of WWE and The Duchess of Dudleyville.
A stint on the second season of “Dancing with the Stars” swayed her away from the ring and scored her another moniker — “DWTS” judge Bruno Tonioli coined Keibler “The Weapon of Mass Seduction.” Indeed, her charms have worked on many men: She’s been romantically linked to WWE stars David Flair and Andrew Martin, better known by his stage name, Test. She also dated “7th Heaven” actor Geoff Stults.
Clooney may be Keibler’s most famous beau yet, but given her track record, it’s unlikely his star power will intimate her.
“With wrestling, I had to perform in front of a live audience four or five times a week every week,” she recently told People magazine. “I did it every week for eight years, so there’s nothing that really can make me nervous after doing that.”
