Black Eyed Peas Drop Out Of Jackson Tribute Concert

The Black Eyed Peas will not be performing at this weekend’s Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff, Wales, reports the BBC.  The organizers of the event said that the group had to cancel due to “unavoidable circumstances.”

Chris Hunt, the CEO of promoters Global Live Events, said in a statement, “It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth-shattering artists.”  Those artists include Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Geen, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, LaToya Jackson and some of the Jackson brothers.  Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson are among the Jackson family members who are sitting out the concert, claiming that it’s improper to stage the event while Dr. Conrad Murray is on trial for manslaughter in the 2009 death of the King of Pop.
