Fox News Responds to Adam Levine’s Scathing Tweet

On Wednesday, Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine became so incensed about the fact that Fox News was playing some of the band’s music that he tweeted, “Dear Fox News, don’t play our music on your evil f***ing channel ever again. Thank you.”  This, of course, got him a great deal of attention — not the least from Fox News, which responded to Adam’s tweets on its show Red Eye.

On Red Eye , ombudsman Andy Levy asked host Greg Gutfeld if he’d heard about what Adam had said about Fox News.  When Gutfeld said, “Who’s that?” Levy responded, “He’s from that band Maroon…5?”  When Levy explained to Gutfeld what Adam had tweeted, Gutfeld claimed that he’d never heard Maroon 5's music before, and asked to hear some.  A bit of Maroon 5's hit “Sunday Morning” was then played, to which Gutfeld responded, “I know what that is, Andy.  It’s crap!…if you go to iTunes and search under the category called ‘crap,’ that comes up!”

Gutfeld also called Adam a “jackass” who wears a “cap” all the time — except he doesn’t.  A female contributor then chimed in and said Adam was “balding” — he isn’t — and then derided Adam as a “game show host,” referring to his stint on NBC’s The Voice.

As of yet, Adam hasn’t responded to the response from Fox.
