Baby rumors keep swirling around Jessica Simpson.

Simpson, who is engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson, held a fan’s baby during an in-store appearance in San Francisco over the weekend.

Meanwhile,  the 31-year-old singer kept mum about whether she’s expecting a baby of her own during the appearance at Macy’s to launch her clothing collection.

Simpson’s fashion choices lately have only fueled speculation. In July, a clingy dress had the gossip sites buzzing.  The singer’s rep told E! online that Simpson was not pregnant.

But that didn’t put an end to it. Last month, when the “Dukes of Hazzard” star stepped out in a leopard print coverup in Mexico, tongues were wagging about whether she had something to hide.

Then, the Monday after her Macy’s event she sported a baggys sweatshirt over workout clothes that kept the fixation going.

Simpson’s rep did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com’s request for comment. Then again, her rep hasn’t commented on the pregnancy rumors since July.
