Lindsay Lohan Shows Up Late for Morgue, Gets A Second Chance

Lindsay Lohan‘s first day of amends-making didn’t go so well.
The troubled actress showed up late today for her required community service at the Los Angeles county morgue.
“Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow,” Steve Honig, her publicist, told ABC News. “Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up.”
Lohan was clearly relieved to catch a break.
“With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I’ve never been so happy to go to therapy!!!!” she wrote on Twitter. “Also, I’m sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner’s office. Won’t happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help.”
Earlier today, Honig told ABC News that the 25-year-old actress was committed to completing her required community service following the Wednesday revocation of her probation from her January shoplifting case. “Lindsay has already contacted the morgue and is going to immediately begin her community service there,” he said.
But as of 8:30 a.m. PT today, Lohan had not arrived at the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Ed Winter, the assistant chief of the coroner’s office, told reporters assembled outside that Lohan made an appointment to be at the morgue at 8 a.m. “If she still shows up will turn her away,” he said. “She failed to meet her appointment.”
Winter said he would pass on the information to the court.
On Wednesday, L.A. Superior Court Judge Stephanie Saunter told Lohan to complete 32 hours of community service at the morgue by her Nov. 2 probation hearing.
Meanwhile, Lohan’s estranged father claims he knows what’s to blame for her latest spate of problems.
“She’s smoking either crack or meth, one or the other,” Michael Lohan said on HLN Wednesday. He was reacting not just to Lohan’s Wednesday probation revocation but also to a recent photo in which the 25-year-old actress’ teeth appeared to be decaying.
“If you’re talking about prescription medication it would affect all your teeth, not just your two front teeth,” he said, adding, “You can’t dance with the devil and expect to go home with Jesus.”
Honig declined to comment on Michael Lohan’s claims.

Oh yea, definitely chasing the pipe just looking at her face, never mind what her teeth might look like. I’m really suprised the judge or probation officer hasn’t ordered up a drug test.

Maybe this is intended to scare her straight because the morgue is where she’ll be headed if she doesn’t clean up her act. It’s amazing to me that some people have such an self-serving mentality that they can’t seem to understand they are on a path that only leads to self-destruction. To say her probation wasn’t “fullfilling” is telling for those who don’t understand self-destructive behavior.

also, to the coroner….. get a grip, loosen up!!! if she shows up, give her the chance to get her community service done. maybe traffic was bad, maybe there were 856 papparazzi outside her house or on her street and made it very difficult for her to get out and get anywhere… if i was her, i wouldn’t want to deal with all of them trying to get that 1st picture of her leaving the house or walking into the building or whatever. cut the girl some slack….and no, i’m NOT just saying that cuz she’s a celebrity, i’m saying that because this is real life – sh*t happens – people are sometimes late for things, even when they don’t want to be, even when they are desperately trying to make things go right…. they should give everyone the chance. i think in her case everyone is so worked up and focused on trying to make sure that she isn’t given any breaks because she’s a celebrity, that they actually are treating her differently… i bet if it was you or i, and we were late, if we went in there and apologized and explained that there was a terrible rush hour traffic jam and we hadn’t realized it was going to be that bad but we will make time for tthat in our schedule tomorrow so that way it didn’t happen again, they wouldn’t turn us away…and i’m pretty darn sure they wouldn’t be making statements about it to the press -which is completely unprofessional and i hope that person gets in trouble for it as they are clearly biased against her BECAUSE of her “celebrity” status.

It would be like showing up late to work on your first day of a new job. This girl had been dealing with cameras and reporters for a long time now. She should know that she needs to adjust her schedule to accommodate her appointed time of arrival. She needs someone like her parole officer to pick her up and deliver her just to be sure she arrives at all.

Thuirsday Morning and just like I said. This crimminal has been allowed to bond out again in less than a hour. Then she show up late again the next day and given a 20th chance. Rich, white, female in Hollywood. Must be nice. At least that other clown Paris Hilton spent 3 days in jail for all her foolishness and 7th chances. lol

I believe she’s had 3-4 chances!!! She’s a crackhead, so again she is late, because she can’t put the pipe down, and I’am sorry take it from an ex addict, herself who learned her lesson the first time she was thrown in jail, I was ready to do as I had to do, and gladly because I did not belong in jail, and if I had not gotten busted, I would be dead. Getting busted was the best thing to happen, it changed me
and made me realize how precious life really is, and no one offered me rehab!!! I had to make that change, and proud to say I have been clean for 12yrs Yay!!!! this girl is never going to change, otherwise she would have already, they need to throw her but in jail and keep her in there period!!!!

NEWCOUNTRYMAN has it right. I can’t imagine living in the LA hell-hole let alone getting from point A to B on time even as a non-celeb sans limo. Is she a doper? No idea, but many posters seem determined to nail her as one with (I suspect) ZERO personal knowledge of her situation. Snot nosed assholes irritate me no end.

Obviously the court’s punishment isn’t affective. GIVE HER COMMUNITY SERVICE WORKING WITH CHILDREN WHO WANT TO ACT. The morgue is only going to put her over the deep end. Really terrible choice by the Judge! She needs compassion and a positive environment. Not jail or the morgue! Would you give Marilyn Monroe this punishment? No. Well, I see Lindsay with the same type of vulnerability. Jail would destroy her. Everything this court is doing is destroying her. She is self destructive and not a threat to anyone but herself. She needs a positive experience not more negative ones.

Meth destroys the centers in the brain that enable one to experience pleasure. The only way a meth addict will ever experience pleasure again is more meth. I am afraid Lohan’s Personal Grim Reaper is closing in. There is NOTHING that can stop this now.

She should be BLACKLISTED and get NO MORE JOBS as an actress! Shame on Playboy for even considering her and for that amount of money people everywhere should protest playboy!!!
