It’s official: Anne Hathaway is engaged!

The 29-year-old Oscar-nominated actress is engaged to actor-jewelry designer Adam Shulman, her rep confirms to Us Weekly.

After dating Shulman three years, Hathaway was recently seen wearing an engagement ring. The ring, her rep told Us, is designed by Kwiat Heritage.

Hathaway began dating the understated Shulman, 30, following the messy end of her four-year romance with Italian entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri in 2008. Follieri pled guilty in September 2008 to swindling investors out of millions in an elaborate con in which he posed as a real estate consultant for the Vatican.

Understandably, Hathaway eased into her next relationship.

“We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together,” Hathaway told Vogue last year. Once they realized they were both single, she said, “things sped up a bit — and I think I’ll leave it at that.”

“So far, it’s worked out great,” the actress and last year’s Oscar host told Harper’s Bazaar, adding that Shulman was far more “mellow” than previous boyfriends.

“Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.”
