Sofia Vergara: A Publicist Once Told Me to Get a Breast Reduction

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is comfortable with the way she looks, especially now that she stars in the hit ABC comedy. In an interview with Health magazine, the 39-year-old Colombian actress says that after she arrived to America, she had a publicist who encouraged her to get a breast reduction. She recalls the publicist telling her, “I think you should just reduce your boobs because nobody’s going to take you seriously here.”
Vergara says her mother was dead set against her undergoing such a procedure. She says she’s glad she didn’t go through with it, because her figure has “become a big part” of her Modern Family character, Gloria.

She should be comfortable with the way she looks…..SHE’S GORGEOUS! Good for her for keeping what the good Lord gave her. I don’t look like her but I remember in high school, all the girls would tease me because of the way I walked, like I was purposly sticking my little boobs out….my back just arched that way, well as I got older my boobs got wayyyyyyy more fuller. My doctor said it was natures way of preparing your body to carry them and now, it looks normal….the way I walk that is. LOL Hooray for boobs!

My daughter had to do the reduction thing because the strain of carrying her naturally large breasts was killing her back and shoulders. Instant relief; no more headaches, back-aches, or neck-aches, and she is much happier now.

When is it ever good advice for an actress to have her breasts reduced in size? Granted, there could be medical reasons but that wasn’t the case here.
