Debra Messing and her husband have separated after more than a decade.

"Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage," a rep for Messing told ABCNews.com today. "The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family."

The "Will and Grace" star, 43, and actor/TV producer Zelman, 44, met while attending New York University and married in 2000.  They have a 7-year-old son, Roman.

The two were seen together as recently as October, when they dressed up as Dia de los Muertos dolls at Bette Midler's New York City Halloween party.
