Kate to Wear 5 Outfits for First Royal Christmas
No Christmas pajamas or ugly Christmas sweaters for the Duchess of Cambridge!
Kate Middleton will spend her first Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, and will reportedly wear five different outfits on Christmas Day alone.
The duchess told a fellow guest at the Sun Military Awards to honor British troops that she "was looking forward to Christmas with Prince William's family," and confirmed that she would have to change her wardrobe five times, according to The Sun newspaper.
"Kate will need a casual outfit for breakfast, a smart outfit and a hat for the morning church service, a dress for lunch, a cocktail dress for early evening drinks and a full-length dress for the evening meal," ABC News' royal correspondent Kate Nicholl told "GMA," explaining that the same will be required of all of the attendees at the royal Christmas.
Twenty-seven guests are expected to join the queen for Christmas at Sandringham, a 20,000 acre estate in eastern England. In a break from tradition, nonroyal Pippa Middleton, Kate's sister, has also been invited to take part in the royal family's Boxing Day pheasant shoot on Dec. 26.
