Pop star Katy Perry made her first public appearance since her split from Russell Brand in Las Vegas on Friday.

Perry stepped out for a charity event for the GiveLove foundation at 1Oak nightclub. She and her best friend and jewelry designer Markus Molinari presented the foundation a $50,000 check.

Perry, sporting a bright blue bob, wore a studded, metallic McQ minidress, dined on steak and lobster at Stacks restaurant before walking the red carpet for the charity event.

She was joined by her brother David, a close-knit group of friends, stylist Johnny Wujek, Molinari, singer and performer Ferras, and friends DJ Mia Moretti and Shannon Woodward.

Molinari gave Perry a diamond encrusted lotus ring as a symbol of life's new beginnings. The pop star appeared upbeat and bubbly all evening and seemed to enjoy the company of her closest friends and confidants.

GiveLove.org, founded by actress Patricia Arquette and Rosetta Getty, is a charity offering Haiti safe and sustainable housing, sanitation solutions, and water filtration devices.

In an interview with ABC News, Arquette thanked Perry for including Give Love in her charitable endeavors.  "We are so grateful for Katy and Markus' support. Events like this bring so much awareness to our cause, and it means the world that the are involved in GiveLove.

After the event, Katy tweeted, "Thanks to everyone who helped out w/the @givelove event at Mirage & 1 Oak LV. Go to http://www.givelove.org to see how u can MAKE a difference!"
