Sources close to Bruce Jenner have told TMZ that he had surgery on Friday after a biopsy revealed a red mark on his face was an early form of skin cancer.

According to the report, Jenner was an outpatient and had a portion of skin taken away near his right ear. He was told by doctors that they caught it just in time and warned the avid golfer not to stay out in the sun without a hat.

The 62-year-old has talked openly about a botched partial facelift and nose job surgery on " Keeping Up With the Kardashians ."

He is married to the matriarch of the Kardashian clan, Kris Jenner. His name recently appeared in a tabloid article, in which he was accused of being a cross dresser with a secret collection of wigs, dresses, high heels and lacy lingerie.

"That is such a '70s story," Kris Jenner told "GMA" recently about those rumors. "It's like now they're running out of things to talk about. "

"It's just so crazy," she said.
