Please, Madonna is the laughingstock of the UK! She HAS TO MAKE NICE with Sir Elton John. She is tolerated in the UK but barely, especially since her divorce from Guy Ritchey. She needs Sir Elton to be in good standing with the UK A listers.
If Americans could hear the disparaging remarks she makes about her own countrymen, you would not be so quick to defend MANDONNA.

How is this “making up” when Madonna hasn’t even commented or fought back? Shes the bigger person here, even complimenting Elton and saying how brilliant he is. She doesn’t HAVE to play nice with anyone, but she has in this case.

Elton John and his kept man need to shut their traps. Madonna has never insulted either of them. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I live in the US, and I had an opportunity to meet Elton John back stage in the late 90′s. I was his fan up until I met him. It wasn’t that he was a horrible perosn, just how he carried himself and how arrogant and pompous he was. I loved Madonna since I was 17 back in 1983, yes I am a 44 year old male and thing she has always tried to be original and entertain the masses for now 30 years. I agree, Elton started slamming Madonna ever since she has broken his records, I especially remember his hate for her in 2004 when she beat him out as the best live act. I saw Madonna in Re-Invention – which to date is my favorite tour of all time of everyone I ever loved, including couple of Elton’s that I saw. Even then Madonna’s response to Elton was – I guess I will still keep him on my Christmas list. I loved Lady Gaga when she came out, I didn’t buy her last record, or any of her singles. She willl have to stay around much longer, and do some good music, if she would ever be so lucky to be compared to Madonna. Yes, Madonna has been gracious to Elton and Lady Gaga – truth be told – Lady Gaga borrows too much from Madonna. Sure Madonna paid homage to others, but she did it when they were long gone and forgoten, the brought them back and revived the passion and the memories. Lady Gaga is paying homage to a living legend, the biggest ICON in the world. Madonna. There my folks is a huge difference. This is why Madonna is in my opinion the best. Thank you Madonna for always rising above things like that, this is why you stay and others leave. Thank you!

Madonna compliments Lady Gaga because she herslef has based 30 odd years in the music business on others work/creations. Lady Gaga has ripped off lists of other people for Interscope (Madonna’s new label) Records, such as Grace Jones and Roisin Murphy, Madonna condones this sort of infringement as it supports her 30 year old business model-it also cause economic strife for original artists if you don’t play along-its part intimidation other part ignorance. Madonna also loves to speak of independent art is its so “cool” to her, of course its so cool that she signed herself to yet another major corporate label group and its noted she also doesn’t write her own material. In the end Madonna is shallow, alot of uptalk, fantasy land imaging and deception. Yet do I see her at the independent music awards which is where all the creators have gone to receive awards as the major industry which supposedly no longer exists doesn’t deal with indies. Madonna just did interview stating she doesnt even cook her own food, hired help does-she also has others write her music, now thats talent “you go girl”. I doubt she could “make it alone” although she has millions convinced she can and does! That is correct. Elton John and his partner and Madonna can now “be nice” what a miracle for people over 50 its noticeable their finally growing up, thank God. Long live the queen.
