No Reconciliation for Schwarzenegger and Shriver: Maria's Ring Explained
Rumors have been swirling about a possible reconciliation for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, following their separation in May of last year.
Both Schwarzenegger and Shriver have been spotted wearing jewelry on their ring fingers, fueling speculation that they're reconsidering their divorce.
However, ABC News has learned that's not the case, and we shouldn't be expecting a reunion. It turns out the big ring Maria's been wearing on her left hand was her mother's engagement ring.
A source told ABC that Shriver's has had the ring, once Eunice Shriver's engagement ring, for about two years, and has been wearing it off and on since then.
The source says there's no reconciliation in the future for Shriver and the former California governor. The couple separated after 25 years of marriage following revelations that Schwarzenegger had had an affair with one of his employees, and fathered a son with her.
