Spice Girls Reuniting for Queen Elizabeth II Celebration?
In 2007 and 2008, the Spice Girls reunited for a successful tour. They may join forces again on June 4 for the Diamond Jubilee celebration at London's Buckingham Palace, marking the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne.
According to Britain's The Sun, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown was asked by an Australian TV program if the girl group would reunite for the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in London this year. She replied, "Ooh, I think the Queen's Jubilee concert is the event I'd be looking at more closely for that to happen."
Later, she reportedly told the production crew off-camera, "I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It's all so totally bloody top-secret still."
Despite Brown's reported remarks, the Daily Mirror claims Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham isn't eager to perform as a Spice Girl again.
A source tells the UK newspaper, "All the girls are desperate for some Spice action except Posh who is simply too busy - she loves the girls and wants to support them and the fans but doesn't see how she has the time when her fashion business is so successful."
