Actress Zoe Saldana played the role of Good Samaritan this week when she rushed to the aid of a woman who got into a car accident in Southern California.

On Wednesday, the "Avatar" star helped move  the woman from her car to the street curb, according to media reports.

"Zoe witnessed the car accident  and was very quick to help," an onlooker told People magazine.

Saldana was driving through Culver City, Calif., when the accident occurred. She reportedly called 911 and stayed until emergency officials arrived.
