For most couples, Valentine's Day is all about flowers and chocolates. But for one NBA couple, it was about a possible reconciliation.

Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant was caught kissing his estranged wife, Vanessa, Tuesday after the Lakers beat the Atlanta Hawks 86-78. The couple is working on a reconciliation, according to TMZ.com.

Vanessa, 29, filed for divorce in December, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have already reached a $75 million settlement deal that gives Vanessa the couple's three estates in Newport Beach, Calif. But after the couple's public display of affection on Valentine's Day, perhaps that deal might not be needed after all.

During Tuesday's game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Vanessa was seen cheering and smiling in the stands before kissing Kobe in the players' tunnel that leads to the locker rooms. Sources told TMZ in December that no one should be surprised if Vanessa went back to Kobe. If their divorce does go forward, it won't become final until mid-June.

Vanessa famously stood by her NBA star husband in 2003 after a Colorado woman accused Bryant of sexual assault. Although charges against Bryant were eventually dropped, he did admit to having sexual relations with the 19-year-old woman. Bryant bought Vanessa a $4 million ring during the scandal.

The couple married more than 10 years ago without a prenuptial agreement, according to TMZ.com. According to the legal documents, Vanessa asked for joint legal and physical custody of their daughters, Natalia, 8, and Gianna, 5.
