Although Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have denied rumors they're engaged, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that may not be the case for long. According to the paper, "several people close to the superstar couple say they're convinced an engagement is in the very near future."

The pair was reportedly spotted, "closely eyeing some pricy bling in a couple of major jewelry stores," the paper said, "especially major diamond baubles that could only be described as the kind usually slipped on a woman's left-hand ring finger."

Bieber's rep did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com's request for comment.
