Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced their split last July, but only now has Anthony moved to make it permanent.

Anthony filed for divorce Monday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences, according to " People" magazine. Their separation date is listed as "to be determined."

They married in 2004.

Anthony, 43, seeks joint legal and physical custody of their four-year-old twins, Max and Emme. He also requests that Lopez, 42, be denied spousal support.

Anthony and Lopez maintain a working relationship with their Latino-flavored talent competition, "Q'Viva! The Chosen."
