With a new hit record and a net worth said to be in the hundreds of millions, Lionel Richie probably won't be staying up all night long worrying about an unpaid tax bill of just over a million bucks.

TMZ.com reported the IRS has filed a lien of $1.1 million - $1,130,609.11 to be exact - against the singer. There's no word yet on the alleged matter from Richie's reps.

Richie's country music collaboration Tuskegee recently reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, his best debut since 1986. It sold 199 thousand copies in its first week of release.
