Whitney Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, performed at an Easter celebration Sunday at the Newark, NJ, church where the late singer's funeral was held.

According to WABC-TV in New York, Houston directed the choir at the New Hope Baptist Church and sang "He Would Not Come Down" solo, in tribute to her daughter.

She told the congregation, "I'm not myself yet. But I know the Lord is working on me."

Whitney, who died in February, performed at the church as a child.
