She may not look exactly like she did when she was dubbed the "most beautiful woman in the world" in 1994, but at the Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan defied haters who have lambasted her post-pregnancy weight gain, and took to the red carpet in a gold and white sari.

Online commenters have criticized the 38-year-old Bollywood actress and former Miss World for not snapping back to her pre-baby body following the birth of her first child last November. The actress has remained unfazed, telling reporters at Cannes, "I can't complain about being busy with the baby because hectic is always being redefined in my life. It was easy to come tonight because I'm not making any films."
