Chris Harrison, the host of ABC's "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" hasn't gone on a date in the past 22 years because he's been in a relationship, but with news of him splitting from his wife after 18 years of marriage, some are wondering if Harrison might soon be an on-screen bachelor.

During a news conference to promote the upcoming season of "The Bachelorette," Harrison said he's been waiting for that question to come up but he won't be handing out any roses just yet.

People magazine quoted Harrison as saying, "Getting out of a 22-year relationship, having just announced my divorce to the world a week ago, having two kids and trying to start a new life, I'm thinking I wouldn't exactly be a great candidate to be the bachelor right now or anytime soon."

Speaking of his ex, Gwen Jones, Harrison said they are still close and he has no regrets about their time together.  Harrision added, "I've loved deeply with [my] whole heart and know how great it can be. I will hopefully fall in love and find that again."

The new season of "The Bachelorette" kicks off May 14.
