Jennifer Lawrence Assists in Real-Life Emergency
Katniss Everdeen to the rescue!
"Hunger Games" actress Jennifer Lawrence assisted in a real-life emergency outside her home Monday evening.
Lawrence, 21, was walking her dog when she came across a young girl on the front lawn of her Santa Monica, Calif., apartment complex, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. The story was originally reported by X17Online.com.
"We had a concerned resident call 911 about a female juvenile who apparently passed out or may have been intoxicated," Sgt. Richard Lewis told ABCNews.com.
Although Lawrence wasn't the one to make the call, the actress who plays Everdeen calmly stayed with the young girl until police arrived. The girl was treated and cleared to leave. Police were unsure whether she lived in the area.
The Oscar nominee will start filming "Catching Fire," the sequel to "The Hunger Games," later this year alongside Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
