Kanye West's 'Naked Kim' Tweet Truth Revealed
It was the tweet that got the Twitter-verse all atwitter this week: A picture of a naked Kim Kardashian look-alike nibbling on fruit from a room service trolley in a fancy hotel room.
Adding to the intrigue, the photo was allegedly shared by her boyfriend, 35-year-old rapper Kanye West, on his Twitter account before being quickly taken down, sparking rumors it was an accident and had caused friction between the newly enamored couple.
The only problem? It wasn't Kardashian, 31, in the photo and it had nothing to do with West.
Like Tina Turner, Robin Williams and Jon Bon Jovi before them - all falsely declared dead via Twitter - the two high-profile stars were just the latest in the long line of celebrities to fall victim to hoaxes on the social messaging tool.
The picture is actually of porn star Amia Miley who originally tweeted the picture of herself back in 2011 and was just as confused as everyone else when it reappeared online this week.
"Apparently a naked photo of me eating is going viral…as Kim Kardashian…I'm confused," she tweeted. "im not going 2 argue about whether that pic is me or not.. want proof? look at the back dimple piercings. kim k doesn't have those."
A spokesman for West also claimed he had nothing to do with the photo, saying he wasn't even on Twitter the day the photo was posted.
"In regards to this 'story' that Kanye posted and then took down intimate pictures on his Twitter account: TOTALLY FALSE. Laughably so. This phantom tweet never occurred on his account," his representative told Us Weekly. "This is obviously the desperate, sad act of someone seeking to gain media exposure by exploiting Kanye's notoriety. Kanye doesn't even know this person, has never seen this picture, and hasn't been on his Twitter account for a day."
After first reporting that West was behind the stunt, TMZ later clarified that it was "part of #WanksterWednesday, A prank day where people try to get bogus rumors started."
