Claire Danes Pregnant With First Child
Claire Danes and her husband, British actor Hugh Dancy, are expecting their first child, the actress' representative has confirmed.
Danes, who won the 2012 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series for her role in hit Showtime series "Homeland," and Dancy's baby news was confirmed to People magazine Wednesday by Danes' rep, Jodi Gottlieb.
Danes, 33, is a New York native whose career began with a 1990s cult classic, "My So-Called Life." The short-lived series earned her a first Golden Globe Award and Emmy nomination. She wed Dancy in 2009 in France.
Dancy, who is best known for roles in 2001's "Black Hawk Down" and last year's acclaimed "Martha Marcy May Marlene," is set to star in the upcoming TV series "Hannibal," which explores the character Dr. Hannibal Lecter, made famous by Anthony Hopkins in the 1991 film "The Silence of the Lambs."
A representative for Showtime told People that Danes' pregnancy is not expected to affect the production of season two of "Homeland," which premieres Sept. 30.
