After 20 years, jazz saxophonist Kenny G and his wife, Balynda Helene Benson-Gorelick, are calling it quits.

The musician, under his legal name, Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, filed for divorce on Aug. 9, according to court documents from the Los Angeles Superior Court, obtained by TMZ. Kenny G cited irreconcilable differences.

"It's a private matter. No comment," a rep for the musician said in an email to ABCNews.com.

The two were married in April 1992 and have a 14-year-old son, Noah. Kenny G is seeking joint custody but does not want to pay spousal support. Documents show they had a prenuptial agreement.

Benson-Gorelick filed for legal separation in January, although nothing was ever finalized, according to the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The saxophonist's lawyer is celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has done divorces and prenups for stars such as Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie and Kim Kardashian.

Kenny G's newest album is "Namaste India." He is scheduled to go on tour starting in September.
