Natalie Portman Marries Benjamin Millepied in California

Natalie Portman, 31, wed French dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied in the Big Sur region of California. The pair exchanged vows in a Jewish ceremony attended by friends including Ivanka Trump.

The couple met of the set of "Black Swan" in 2009, when Millepied was working as a choreographer of the film, which earned Portman an Oscar. They were engaged by December 2010. They have a 14-month-old son, Aleph.

Portman recently indicated she may consider becoming a French citizen, telling France's Madame Figaro magazine, "I now have the possibility of taking on French nationality. It would accomplish the Francophile dreams of my father and myself," she explains, "I lived in Paris when I was 12 and my father gave me the name Natalie as an homage to Gilbert Becaud's song. Everything in my life has drawn me towards a French family."

Portman also tells the magazine that personal life is very important to her. "It's something which comes first, always makes sense, and compared to the happiness of a successful family life, everything else is practically superficial."
