Rosie O'Donnell is a married woman once again.
The talk show host revealed on her blog today that she and Michelle Rounds married on June 9. They were originally supposed to tie the knot this month, but after Rounds was diagnosed with desmoid tumors earlier this summer, a rare condition that can be life-threatening, they decided to wed before her surgery.
"We married in private before [Michelle's] surgery, just the [two] of us," O'Donnell wrote. "When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish."
O'Donnell's rep confirmed to ABC News that the couple is legally married but have yet to celebrate the wedding. O'Donnell and Rounds are using their union to raise awareness about desmoid tumors. The former OWN host pledged to match all donations to Rounds' Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation page and is selling paintings on eBay to raise money for the organization.
It's been a summer of surprises for O'Donnell, 50. She suffered a heart attack earlier this month and wrote on her blog that it's a "miracle" she's still alive.
O'Donnell was previously married to Kelli Carpenter. They divorced in 2007.
