Amanda Bynes Insists She's 'Doing Amazing'
With driving violations, court dates and countless headlines, Amanda Bynes has had a rough couple of months. But the actress insists she's doing just fine.
"I am doing amazing," Bynes told People magazine. "I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line."
Bynes, 26, has not acted since her role in 2010's "Easy A." That June she announced via Twitter that she was retiring, but less than two months later said she was "unretired."
The former child star was charged with a DUI in June and two counts of hit-and-run earlier this month. But she insists she doesn't drunk.
"I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false," she told People.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered Bynes Sept. 12 not to drive without a valid driver's license, the court earlier confirmed to ABCNews.com. The actress was pulled over by Los Angeles police Sept. 9 for driving without her lights on, the Los Angeles Times reported. Bynes was then spotted several times driving around Los Angeles until her car was impounded Sept. 16 by Bob Hope Airport police.
Fellow former child star Lindsay Lohan, 26, spoke out against Bynes' lack of punishment for her driving violations.
"Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?" Lohan tweeted Sept. 16, apparently referring to Bynes.
