Anne Hathaway Marries Adam Shulman
ABC News' Alyssa Newcomb and Luchina Fisher report:
Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway has tied the knot with actor-jewelry designer Adam Shulman.
More than 100 guests watched Hathaway and her beau of four years exchange vows at a private estate in scenic Big Sur, Calif., on Saturday night, People Magazine reported.
The actress wore a gown by her close friend, Valentino Garavani, who earlier this month revealed he would be designing a dress for the actress' nuptials.
The 29-year-old actress and Shulman announced their engagement last November.
Hathaway began dating the "mellow" Shulman, 31, following the messy end of her four-year romance with Italian entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri in 2008. Follieri pleaded guilty in September 2008 to swindling investors out of millions in an elaborate con in which he posed as a real estate consultant for the Vatican.
Understandably, Hathaway eased into her next relationship.
"We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together," Hathaway told Vogue. Once they realized they were both single, she said, "things sped up a bit - and I think I'll leave it at that."
"So far, it's worked out great," the actress and last year's Oscar host told Harper's Bazaar, adding that Shulman was far more "mellow" than previous boyfriends.
"Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life," she said.
