Claire Danes, Sofia Vergara and More Light Up Emmy After Parties
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Sunday night's Emmy celebrations lasted long after the telecast wrapped, with stars drinking and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. The first stop for pretty much everyone was the Governor's Ball, where a trio of electric violinists covered pop hits like Rihanna's "We Found Love" under a canopy of red. Attendees snacked on mushroom risotto fries and chocolate covered strawberries.
The 20th Century Fox party at downtown L.A.'s Soleto saw a slew of stars come through, including "Modern Family's" Eric Stonestreet, "Family Guy's" Seth MacFarlane, and "Nashville's" Connie Britton. But the No. 1 place to be as night turned into morning was the HBO party, where a laundry list of celebrities rubbed shoulders ii the psychedelically decked out Pacific Design Center.
"Entourage" boys Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrera and Rex Lee reunited with the show's best girl, Emmanuelle Chriqui. Sofia Vergara danced while onlookers Instagrammed. Clive Owen posed for pics with fans. "The Good Wife" nominee Christine Baranski summed up the celebratory mood, telling Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, "If you can't win a statue, look like a statue." "Girls" star and Emmy newbie Allison Williams took it all in with a hint of disbelief, saying even she was starstruck by the wattage in the room.
The sweetest moment of the night: a glowing Claire Danes (pregnancy plus Emmy equals unparalleled radiance) sharing a kiss and a moment of quiet with her husband, Hugh Dancy, while HBO's revelers buzzed around them.
