“Saturday Night Live” will welcome a few new faces to the fold this week. Ahead of the premiere of its 38th season, the show announced that it has added three new cast members to its roster: Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, and Tim Robinson. Strong and Robinson hail from Chicago’s Second City improv club, Bryant comes from Chicago’s iO Theater.
“SNL” lost key cast members Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, and Abby Elliott earlier this year. The “Bridesmaids” star departed in May, Samberg announced his departure in June and Elliott revealed she wouldn’t return to the show in August. Rumors have circulated that Jason Sudeikis may also be off the show.
“Saturday Night Live” premieres Saturday with host Seth MacFarlane and musical guest Frank Ocean.
