Now that she has given birth to her first child, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is talking about her new life as a mom, how the name of her newborn son was chosen, and the end of her partying days.

The 24-year-old pint-sized "Jersey Shore" and "Snooki & JWOWW" star and her fiancé Jionni LaValle opened up their home to People magazine just six days after the August 26 birth of Lorenzo Dominic.

"It's a different kind of love that I never felt before," Polizzi told People.

The reality TV star, who catapulted to fame when "Jersey Shore" premiered on MTV in December 2009, allowed her newborn to be exclusively photographed by the weekly magazine as the she opened the home where she and LaValle live with his parents. The couple also revealed details about their upcoming wedding, and Polizzi told the magazine about her post-birth weight loss plan.

LaVille, 25, told the magazine that he was inspired to name his first child - who took 24-hours to deliver - after someone that he knew in his hometown.

"We were going back and forth, and I just happened to think of Lorenzo," he said. "She loved it."

Polizzi said that she chose the boy's middle name of Dominic, which was the name of her uncle. She told the magazine that she "did it for her dad."

As is the case with most new parents, the couple has spent the past two weeks at home with the new addition to their family. Polizzi says that her wild days are now behind her.

"When I got pregnant, everything changed," said Polizzi. "The partying is long gone. I'm a new person."

The final season of MTV's "Jersey Shore" premieres October 4.
