Jason Aldean Apologizes for Acting 'Inappropriately' With Another Woman
Jason Aldean apologized to his fans Sunday after TMZ posted photos of the married country crooner getting very cozy with another woman, "American Idol" season 11 contestant Brittany Kerr, in Las Vegas.
"I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip websites," Aldean wrote on his Facebook page Sunday.
"The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar," Aldean wrote. "I left alone, caught the bus to our next show, and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."
Aldean, 35, and Jessica Ussery were high school sweethearts and married in 2001. They have two daughters, Keeley, 9, and Kendyl, 5.
Fans had mixed reactions to Aldean's apology.
"Jason, we all make mistakes. If we didn't we wouldn't be human. Your true fans will love you and support you no matter the mistakes you make," one supporter wrote on Aldean's Facebook wall.
"And I thought, hey, for once a great man and great artist … just sold my tickets to your concert in San Antonio.
"No thanks," another fan posted.
Kerr, 24, deleted her Twitter account after the photos surfaced. She has yet to respond publicly.
Currently a cheerleader for the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats and an aspiring model, Kerr was cut in the final round of Hollywood auditions for season 11 of American Idol. Currently.
"In 2010, I entered a Victoria's Secret Model Search contest, and I placed in the top 80!" she posted on her website.
