Dave Matthews Band is the latest musical artist to announce a monetary donation towards recovery efforts following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy - and it's a biggie.

DMB is pledging $1 million to the cause, and is turning its November 30 winter tour opener in East Rutherford, NJ into a benefit concert. Tickets for the show are now on sale via Ticketmaster.com.

All proceeds from the show, including money from ticket sales and merchandise, will go to the Bama Works Sandy Relief Fund, an offshoot of the DMB's own charitable organization.

The stars, along with producer Timbaland, doled out relief backpacks and blankets from the back of trucks for nearly four hours Saturday.

Singer John Legend was also in Rockaway, lending a hand over the weekend.

"Went out to far rockaway this morning to view the aftermath of #sandy and distribute food," he wrote on Saturday. "Still no power out there. Keep giving. They need u."
