Jon Bon Jovi's daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi was arrested for drug possession in upstate New York after an alleged heroin overdose in her college dorm room.

According to the Kirkland Police Department, Bongiovi, a 19-year-old student at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., was arrested after heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were discovered in her dorm room. She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia, all of which are class-A misdemeanors. She was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. She was released on appearance tickets and must appear in court at a later date.

A rep for her rock star father declined to comment when contacted by ABC News.

Police initially arrived at the dorm just after 2 a.m. this morning, in response to a report of a female who had been found "unresponsive," according to a police statement sent to ABC News.

Another student, Ian S. Grant, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after police discovered a small quantity of heroin, according to the statement. Police later returned with a search warrant and arrested Bongiovi after the additional drugs were discovered.

Investigator Peter Cania told The Associated Press that Bongiovi was recovering at a hospital he declined to name.

Bongiovi is Jon Bon Jovi's only daughter, and the oldest of his four children with wife Dorothea Hurley.
