Robin Roberts on Ebony Magazine's Power 100 List for 2012

"Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts is among Ebony magazine's Power 100 African-Americans of 2012.

Roberts, who is currently on medical leave from "GMA" following a bone marrow transplant to treat MDS, a blood disorder, appears on the list alongside other influential names in media, business, politics and other fields. The magazine sites all the attention she has brought to bone marrow donation during her fight against MDS, or as Robin says, "making her mess her message."

President Barack Obama appears on the list, along with NBA player Lebron James, and professor Cornel West. While West tops the list and Obama appears in the third spot behind James, the numbers do not appear to indicate rank. According to Ebony, the names are listed "in no particular order."

Rapper/singer Nicki Minaj, author Toni Morrison, the Rev. T.D. Jakes, entertainers Beyonce and her husband Jay Z., writer and educator Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and NBC drama programming executive Pearlena Igbokwe are also named.

Also on the list is Trayvon Martin, the unarmed black teen whose fatal shooting by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman earlier this year sparked outrage and protests around the country.

NeNe Leakes, who stars in "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," appears on the cover of the issue, which hits newsstands Nov. 5.
