Danica McKellar, who played Winnie Cooper on 1990s hit, "The Wonder Years," is back on screen with her famous bangs.

McKellar stares in Lifetime's new holiday film, "Love at the Christmas Table," in her first major return to the spotlight. The actress said it was easy to get back into acting.

"I love acting and I'm going to get more into that," McKellar said on the Today show Thursday.

The 37-year-old sports bangs in the film, making her look not much older than she did when she played the lovable Winnie Cooper.

"I would look at myself in the mirror in the dressing room and go, 'Oh my gosh, it's Winnie Cooper.' It's the weirdest thing," McKellar said about her bangs.

McKellar is a best-selling author with four mathematics books under her belt. Earlier this year, she divorced her husband of three years, Mike Verta, with whom she had a son, now 2 years old.

McKellar will star in a Sci-Fi channel movie set to premiere next year.

"Love at the Christmas Table" airs on Lifetime Nov. 25.
