Jennifer Aniston, Beyonce and More Urge Fans to Demand a Gun Violence Plan
After the recent shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., lawmakers have been speaking out about how to control gun violence. Now Hollywood is getting involved too.
Some of the biggest names in music, film and television participated in a gun violence video on behalf of Demand A Plan, a campaign of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns organization. Stars like Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carrell and Will Ferrell urge fans to demand a plan.
"For the children of Sandy Hook, demand a plan. No more lists of names," Cameron Diaz, Courtney Cox and more said in the video. "It's not too soon, it's too late. Now is the time before we all know someone who loved someone on that list."
