LeAnn Rimes Fires Back at Brandi Glanville
The war of words between LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville has escalated with Glanville claiming that her 9-year-old son got sick after ingesting laxatives belonging to stepmom Rimes.
Late Wednesday, Rimes fired back with a statement to ABCNews.com from her rep Marcel Pariseau, who called Glanville's allegations "threatening," "mean-spirited" and untrue.
"There is only one person constantly speaking to the press and that is Brandi. Why do you think that is? Her whole show is based on controversy, drama and publicity," Pariseau said about the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star.
"She is the only one to gain by spewing forth inaccuracies, rants and half-truths. It's time for people to see it for what this really is - she has a book and show to promote and sell."
Rimes' statement comes after Glanville's latest accusation, made Wednesday in an interview with Us Weekly.
In the interview, Glanville calls Rimes "unstable" and "not healthy" and says the singer has an eating disorder.
"These are my children and I don't want this unstable person around them when she's alone," Glanville told Us.
The feud between the two women first flared on Twitter over the weekend, after Rimes, 30, referred to Glanville's children, Mason, 9, and Jake, 5, with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian as "my boys."

On Saturday, Glanville, 40, tweeted to her more than 157,000 Twitter followers: "Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children "her boys"Sooo transparent! They R MY boys, Eddie Boys and ur step-sons… 4 now"
Rimes had a very public affair with actor Cibrian while he was married to Glanville, and Rimes and Cibrian both divorced their then-spouses to marry each other.
Glanville also slammed Rimes after seeing a video of her 5-year-old riding his bike without a helmet while with Rimes. "A friend just sent me a video of MY 5 yr old riding his bike on a busy st without his training wheels & without a F*****G Helmet," she tweeted Saturday.
Rimes, who has more than 341,000 Twitter followers, replied to Glanville: " @ brandiglanville really, he's not in a st. It's in our neighborhood, and you know it. It's on the dirt."
"Brandi keeps grasping at straws to make LeAnn seem like an unfit person," Pariseau said in his statement to ABCNews.com. "Brandi's story changes daily, one day it's an eating disorder, one day it's twitter, one day the boys aren't safe, etc. She says she hasn't seen or spoken to LeAnn in months but yet knows everything that is going on. None of Brandi's allegations are true."
"LeAnn and Eddie have the boys 50 percent of the time, so they are a family and LeAnn is a great and caring co-parent," Pariseau said. "As Brandi stated 'my boys love her' and LeAnn loves them.
"It's time for Brandi to move on. LeAnn has!" Pariseau added.
Glanville says she has. On Wednesday, she tweeted, "Im not bitter Im concerned 4 MY kids,Im not n luv with EC n ANY way,Im happy 2 go BACK 2 therapy with them &PS I left him he didnt leave me."
